It was really bad, that flood: Houses in two to three metres of water; people on roofs, waiting for help in pouring rain. But it could have been worse. Thanks to the helicopters, all people were saved.

Saved by whom?

  These helicopters were piloted by men from FAIRLIE - Jim and Gordon KANE from our sociable Gall Street.

Both zoomed in time again for tricky and dangerous life - saving.

It is no joke to pick people from rooftops.

Quite justly the "Press" termed them in fat letter-heading"
