The flag here shows the re known Leonardo Da Vinci drew man as a balanced creature. The artist has used this to show that he vehemently disagrees and the entire series of paintings are his presentation to challenge this, in order to show that mankind is unbalanced and distortional neglecting its own.
All subjects within the series of paintings may appear as symbolic but the victim is shown as realistic. The artist has used this aspect to show the importance of her presence in mans world. Her position remains constant in all 3 paintings, this, the artist is bringing attention to the fact that her disposition is constant and not likely to change unless mankind changes its values and priorities.
The astronaut is taking “one step for mankind” and congratulating mankind itself upon the success of having put the flag on the moon. Yet still ignoring the starving dying little girl, thinking of the “One step for man and one leap for mankind”. That such has been achieved.
In all 3 paintings the footprint directions show that historically man has caused and not intended to stop the causing of these results in its actions.
